Semax + Selank

Often called a “calm and focus” stack, Semax + Selank reflects the appeal of clearer thinking alongside a more settled mood. The ingredients have not been well studied as a pair.

THE COMMUNITY RATIONALE

Often described in community discussions as a pairing for calm and focus.

THE OPEN QUESTION

Both ingredients are studied for effects on the nervous system. Separate studies do not show whether combining them improves focus or mood, or how they interact.

Community experience can explain why a pairing has become popular. It cannot show whether the ingredients work better together or whether a mixed product is stable, accurately dosed or safe.

03
THE REASON FOR INTEREST

Why people combine them

Often described in community discussions as a pairing for calm and focus.

How their research overlaps

Both ingredients are studied for effects on the nervous system. Separate studies do not show whether combining them improves focus or mood, or how they interact.

The individual profiles explain each ingredient’s potential benefits and research. Even when their effects seem complementary, studies are needed to find out whether using them together adds a benefit.

04
WHAT THE RESEARCH CAN SUPPORT

Evidence for this combination

Human research on the ingredients separately

A 2020 brain-imaging study involved 52 healthy participants who received Semax, Selank or a placebo in separate groups. It did not test the two peptides together. We did not find a human study of combined use in this targeted search.

Changes seen on brain scans do not necessarily mean better everyday thinking or less anxiety, and do not establish the safety of combined use. We could access the publisher’s summary, but not the full paper.

RESEARCH & COMMUNITY CONTEXT

Doses & duration

Start with each ingredient—not an invented combined dose

No validated combined starting dose exists. The cards below preserve the practical structure people look for while keeping each ingredient’s reported pattern separate.

SEMAX

Anecdotal / unvalidated for healthy cognition

Starting point discussed
For focus or mental energy, community descriptions often begin around 200 mcg intranasally per day and may describe 400–600 mcg/day in divided use.
Duration / cycle
Short 10–14-day trials are more commonly discussed than continuous use.
Continuation / break
People often describe a break and reassessment; no validated nootropic maintenance or tolerance-prevention schedule exists.

SELANK

Anecdotal / unvalidated · regional clinical extrapolation

Starting point discussed
Community descriptions often begin around 250 mcg intranasally per day; 500–750 mcg/day in divided use is also discussed.
Duration / cycle
Short 10–14-day courses are common, while some people describe occasional use around stressful periods.
Continuation / break
No validated continuous-use, cycling, tolerance-prevention or break schedule exists.

Using two ingredients in the same period and mixing them in one vial or syringe are different questions. Separate schedules cannot establish compatibility, interactions or a safe combined total.

WHAT REMAINS UNCERTAIN

Safety & uncertainties

  • The combination needs its own safety research, including possible interactions and side effects.
  • What a product contains, how it is made and how it is used all matter. Products sold under the same name may differ.
  • A clinician can assess how existing medicines or health conditions affect the risks. These pages provide general information, not personal treatment advice.

Sources & search record

Last source check: 14 September 2026

Each link explains what it covers: the combination itself, an individual ingredient or safety information. A trial record and a paper can describe the same study.

About this search

We used targeted web searches for ingredient pairs, including searches focused on PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov. We followed relevant papers, research reviews and FDA safety information, checking whether the ingredients were actually given together and how they were used. Some full papers were unavailable, so we relied on their published summaries. Web searches can miss studies: this was a targeted source check, not an exhaustive or systematic review, a clinical assessment or a review of UK regulation. The links below let you explore further; search results are not evidence on their own.

Studies may use different names for the same ingredient. The search terms above show which alternatives we checked. Community experiences can explain interest in a stack, but we did not count anecdotes or seller claims as clinical studies.
